Emmerson Mnangagwa, the president of Zimbabwe has promised on Tuesday, to investigate the brutal violence by security forces against civilians, after cutting short an overseas trip.
The brutal crackdown in Zimbabwe occurred when the price of fuel made a sharp rise, on Monday and violence killed 12 people and many more injured by the security forces.
Following that incident Mnangagwa returned to Harare on Monday night by canceling the overseas trip, to fix the situation and called a “national dialogue” where he promised to investigate the deadly violence against civilians and punish any misconduct by security forces.
“Violence or misconduct by our security forces is unacceptable and a betrayal of the new Zimbabwe,” saying this Mnangagwa added “Chaos and insubordination will not be tolerated, misconduct will be investigated. If required, heads will roll.”
The military and police seem to have focused on authorities and supporters of standard restriction parties, just as association authorities and prominent common society activists, as opposed to supposed hoodlums.
The Zimbabwe government has appointed Human Rights Commission on Tuesday saying at least eight people had been killed and soldiers and police had instigated “systematic torture”
“At least 12 people were killed and there is evidence police systematically tortured demonstrators during the unrest last week,” said Human rights groups.
Crticising the protest of last week, Mnangagwa said “Everyone has the right to protest, but this was not a peaceful protest. Wanton violence and cynical destruction, looting police stations, stealing guns and uniforms, incitement and threats of violence. This is not the Zimbabwean way.”
Web and web-based social networking destinations gave off an impression of being in part coming back to ordinary in the wake of being closed somewhere around specialists for a few days.
