Mixing pop production with traditional music Shipra Goyal is something of a rising star in India. Her music is a heady blend that is winning over old and young alike. Where you would imagine the fit of old and new to be rather clunky Goyal has found a way to allow the two to mesh almost seamlessly. It does help that she has a silky smooth voice which often draws you into each song in a mesmerising fashion. Viaah Wala Joda firmly lays down the foundations of intent and bodes very well for the future. We could be hearing a lot of Shipra Goyal in years to come.
