Tommy in the Window
The former head of the Army Lord Richard Dannatt is backing RBLI’s VE Day ‘Tommy in the Window’ campaign, calling on the British public to place a Tommy in the window until we can all come together again and celebrate the 75th anniversary together.
A team of injured veterans and people with disabilities working in RBLI’s Kent-based social enterprise factory, dubbed Britain’s Bravest Manufacturing Company (BBMC), have proudly produced a special edition VE Day 75 Tommy and Window Stickers ready for you to purchase right now at:
rbli.shop
All the money raised through the sale of the Tommies will go directly to supporting ex-servicemen and women through RBLI’s range of services.
General Lord Dannatt said: “The RBLI Tommy figure represents the many lives lost at war including the Second World War which led to that heroic victory in 1945, but also our country’s support of the veterans of today who are in desperate need of support.”
“We have had to rightly change our way of life because of COVID-19 but we should not let it get in the way of commemorating VE Day 75 whilst at home.”
