A special mini-season of ‘The Great British Bake Off’ is coming. Ricky Wilson, Melanie Sykes and Ella Eyre are among the stars confirmed for the upcoming series of The Great Celebrity Bake Off for Stand Up To Cancer.
The five-episode series will air as a part of the Stand Up To Cancer annual broadcast looking to raise money for the charity. The date for the series is unconfirmed by Noel Fielding and Sandi Toksvig will return to present, Line Of Best Fit report.
TV presenter Melanie, singer Ella, comedians Tim Minchin, Aisling Bea, Lee Mack, Joe Lycett, Roisin Conaty and Harry Hill, Scottish Conservatives leader Ruth Davidson, Kaiser Chiefs singer Ricky Wilson, as well as presenter Bill Turnbull will all be hoping judges Prue Leith and Paul Hollywood like their bakes as they take on three challenges on the show.
‘The Great British Bake Off’ ended late last year with drama because judge Prue Leith fortuitously tweeted the outcome of The Great British Bake Off final before it had aired.
Recounting the howler, she disclosed that it was “one of the worst half an hours [of my life],” she said.“I felt suicidal, awful,” Leith continued. “The thing that upset me the most was that this would take attention off the winner. And Sophie has worked for months and months for this moment.”
