US rapper and singer Juice WRLD whose real name is Jarad Anthony Higgins, has died on Sunday at the age of 21 after experiencing a medical emergency at Midway International Airport in Chicago.
Illinois’ Cook County medical examiner’s office has confirmed the young star’s death.
After arriving at Chicago’s Midway International Airport the rapper attacked by seizure, started bleeding from his mouth and died a short time later at the hospital.
Juice was conscious he was taking to the hospital, said the people who were traveling with him.
Police are waiting for the medical examiner to find out the death reason, but the exact reason for his death has not been confirmed yet.
“There were no signs of foul play and all individuals aboard the aircraft are cooperating with CPD and have given all of their information,” said Anthony Guglielmi, Chicago police spokesman.
The young rapper was best known for his viral 2018 hit Lucid Dreams. Mental health, mortality and drug use were common themes in his music. The musician rose to the top of the charts with the Sting-sampling hit “Lucid Dream”. He’s had 10 songs reach gold status and also had success with 2018’s Wrld on Drug.
Following his death collaborators, friends and fellow artists are paying tribute to him.
“RIP juice. So sad how often this is happening lately to young talented rising artists,” tweeted Lil Nas X.
“I would like to see all the younger talent live longer and I hate waking up hearing another story filled with blessings was cut short,” shared Drake.
“I Love You So Much , You Didn’t Deserve This,” wrote friend and frequent collaborator Ski Mask the Slumpgod.
However, the investigation is still going on to find out the reason for his death.
