Marvel’s Avengers upcoming game from Crystal Dynamics has been confirmed for release later year. Puza Snigdha reports.
Fans who purchase ‘Marvel’s Avengers’ on PS4 and Xbox One will also receive a free copy on PS5 and Xbox Series X, respectively, if they upgrade their consoles. The player’s previous profile, including their progress, will be saved and transferred to the upgraded version.
“Those moving their saves to next-gen will transfer their player profiles and progression so they can pick up right where they left off.”
Marvel’s Avengers PS5 will feature near-instantaneous load times, ray tracing, spatial audio, advanced haptics with the DualSense controller, and improved graphics, texturing, resolution, and fidelity. The players will be allowed to choose between “Enhanced Graphics Mode”, or “High Framerate Mode” at 60fps.
Another new feature which players can expect is the game’s cross-gen support, which allows the PS5 players to play online with PS4 users. The same goes for Xbox Series X and Xbox One players.
The feature for the PC, Stadia, and Xbox Series X-specific are not announced yet.
Gary Snethen, the chief technology officer at developer Crystal Dynamics, has said: “PS5 greatly lifts the performance and graphics bar for consoles”
He added: “When optimisation is complete, loading content will be nearly instant, allowing players to seamlessly jump into missions anywhere in the game world.”
Marvel’s Avengers is set to release on PC, Xbox One, PS4 and Google Stadia on September 4. The game will also be released on PS5 and Xbox Series X when the consoles are made available.
