Originally a release from 2016 this new version features upgraded artwork and eight new tracks. Clearly referencing Alice In Wonderland in its original format and title the message has got a bit lost in this mightily extended version. You do get some nifty guest appearances from Hiatus Kaiyote, Bibi Bourelly and more which add to the glitz but the balance of the record has been thrown out. There’s no doubting the quality of the older material here or even that some of the new is sound, the main problem is that there’s no sense of less is more and that a separate release would have been better.
