For mistakenly criticised MTV for snubbing Childish Gambino at the Video Music Awards, Adam Levine has apologized .
He apologizes by saying, “I don’t usually put my foot in my mouth. But this time, I did.”
Adam fired up his social media to criticize the MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs) nominations, then found himself having to delete and apologize for his post.
The Maroon 5 singer Adam Levine hit out on Twitter last Friday, describing the rapper’s ‘This Is America’ video as “thought provoking and intelligent videos ever made.”
The post went on: ‘I’m sure he doesn’t care that he wasn’t nominated for a VMA because he’s cool as f*** and everything. But I care. Because I’m NOT that cool.’
But there’s just one problem – it was announced last month that Glover had received a staggering seven VMA nominations for the video.
Now, Levine has realizes that it’s time to eat some humble pie. ‘This is America’ actually WAS nominated for 7 VMAs”,he admitted on Twitter.
“How I didn’t get the right info is beyond me. I stand corrected. I’m sorry MTV. Still hate you though. but mostly, I’m sorry.”
